Student Blogger-Keara

Hi, I am Keara!  It is my pleasure to share with you the best sport that my family and I have ever been in:  KARATE.

I started it at the age of  four. My first competition was when I was an Orange Belt.  I did Forms and Weapons.  My weapon was the Nunchuk.  I won all two 1st Place.
I competed in World Championships with my family at Little Rock, Arkansas, and got a trophy as the Best Tiny Tiger Kicker.

We’ve been to a lot of places around California as well as many other states to compete such as Sacramento, Elk Grove, Rocklin, Vallejo, Modesto, Sta. Rosa, Turlock, Ventura, Del Mar, Ontario, Temecula, San Diego, Las Vegas, Oregon and Arkansas.
Because of this sport, I got a chance to meet and greet with the celebrities who were from ATA (American Taekwondo Association) like Noah Ringer; the lead star of the Last Airbender movie and Mike Chat; The Blue Power Ranger.

The best part of this journey was that we got to visit different theme parks and landmarks. Such as Disney World, FL, Universal Studios, CA, Legoland, CA, Statue of Liberty, NY, Graceland, TN, Largest Cross, TX, Liberty Bell, PA, White House, Washington, DC, Grand Canyon, AR.
As for this sport, when I grew up, I want to be an ATA World Champion like my dad.
Ooops! One more thing that I am proud to brag to you about is my inspiration for drawing: my big brother, Klaude.  He won 1st place in the “Judge a Book by it’s Cover” contest.  In over 1,500 entries all over the Sacramento public libraries.  He also illustrated the poster image of Gulliver in Gulliver’s Travels which was shown last Feb. 28-Mar. 1, 2014.

    1. Hi Grace,
I started karate because I wanted to be a black belt like my dad, my brother and my two sisters and I am the belt before a black belt.

  7. Dear Keara,

I used to play Karate but I quit because I thought it was boring. But I realize if you still play karate it will make you stronger and more powerful. Here is the question now where do you practice karate? For the blu ranger can you say hi for me if you see him again? Please answer this question, what made you choose karate to be your favorite sport?

    1. Dear Nathan,
I don't know if I'm going to Mike Chat, the blue power ranger, but I could say hi to Noah Ringer, the leader of The Last Airbender.
I sometimes see him at karate tournaments, but I only saw Mike Chat for one special one. Is Noah Ringer fine?

    1. Hi Aiden,
Karate has a lot of punching bags and it has a karate carpet. I really love to do karate because I can learn to defend myself. Thanks for the comment.

I think that it is so cool that you do karate! You are like a little super woman! You go girl! Maybe one day you can teach the class some moves? I also like that you blogged about your siblings! I like learning about people's families! Thank you for sharing about you!

    1. Hello Ms. Steinlein!,
I would love to teach you karate moves, but I'd have to teach you my form that is almost to a black belt and it's pretty hard. I also like hearing about families too! It is very fun doing karate, but it makes you very sweaty and it is hard. Thanks for the comment!

    1. What's up Ava,
I don't know the highest belt, but black belt is one of the highest belts. Also I didn't ride on a plane my dad drove and first I went to a tournament and then I went to Disney World and it is very fun. Thanks for the comment.
      Love,
