Student Blogger-Rebecca

Hello everybody!  My name is Rebecca and this is my entry to the blog.  I am 7 years old and I live in Natomas Park in Sacramento with my little brother and my mom and dad.  I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers.  My older 2 sisters and older brother already graduated high school and moved out.  I miss them very much.

When I’m not in school I like to keep busy by performing in plays and working on my dancing.  I have been taking tap, hip-hop, ballet and jazz classes since I was 3 years old.  The past 2 years I danced at a Starbound competition and won trophies for my dance school.

I also enjoy taking piano and gymnastics.  I started piano when I was 5 and my daddy says I’m pretty good at it.   He says that I am a “triple threat” because I can act, sing and dance.  My first musical was Willy Wonka.  I played Violet Beauregarde, the girl who turns into a blueberry.  It was so much fun!  Recently I played a “showgirl” in Bugsy Malone and I was so happy to have my teacher (Mrs. Torres) come and see me.  Next month I’m starring as “Gertrude McFuzz” in Seussical the Musical.

My favorite subjects in school are reading and math.  Reading is so much fun!  Someday I hope to be a writer so others can enjoy my stories.   Thank you for reading my blog entry.  I hoped you liked it.  Bye!

  4. Hi Rebecca,
Did Mrs. Torres really see you at your show? You were lucky that Mrs. Torres saw you at the show. What kind of dance do you do at your shows? You must be sad when your sister was away.

    1. Dear Britney, Thank You for commenting on my entry for the blog. Yes Mrs. Torres really did see me at the show, and I was very happy that she came. For my shows, I do so many types of dances like, hip hop, ballet, tap, and jazz. I was sad when she couldn't come to see some of my shows. Then one day she was able to so she flew here to see one of my shows. After the show, almost everybody said that I was their favorite character as (Gertrude Mcfuzz) and when I heard everyone talking about me as Gertrude Mcfuzz I was proud of myself. Once again Thank You for commenting on my entry for the blog and have a great day. Bye! Your Friend, Rebecca
