Hello! I’m Grace, I’m here to present about my talents! I do golf and piano. Well I do better at golf than piano. I also practice golf more! Well, how I got interested in golf is when my dad bought me some toy golf clubs and balls. He seen that I enjoyed playing around the house with them. So he asked if I was interested in playing real golf, so I told him yes. I would like to play real golf, so he signed me for children classes, and I started  playing at the first tee last year here in Sacramento. First Tee is name of the children classes for golf.

This is the story of why I started piano.I didn’t like playing violin because my arm got tired of holding the violin, so my mom decided to do piano instead. First it was my choice to do it or not. So we go to piano stores. I tried many pianos. Then I started enjoining it! Thats how I started piano.This is a picture of me playing piano.

Hi my name is Nathan. My school is Natomas Charter School. My favorite animal is a lion because it is the king of the jungle. 

In 2013 I went to the Philippines. I also saw a whale shark in Philippines. 


In the country Dipolog in Philippines I went to feed the kids that are in need. 


In Bohol Philippines I went to see the the smallest monkey in the world called a tarsier. I also went to Chocolate Hills in Bohol. 


My favorite sport is soccer. Back in America, me, my brother and my mom went to the gym to play rocket ball. 

We also went to a snowy place and went sledding there. I almost went in the ocean. 

I also know a little bit of magic like making a toothpick disappear, making a rabbit made out of sponge disappear in a magic box, and guessing a persons card and place it in a deck.

I have always wanted my room to be an ocean theme and I finally got that.  My dad gave me a gift card for paint.  Than my mom ordered stickers to go on my walls.  We cleaned out my room.  We prepared it to be painted and then I started painting.  It was very fun.  My sister and my mom helped.  Then we put all the stuff back in my room, minus some toys I no longer wanted.  This took almost a week.  

After the paint was dried, my dad and I put the stickers on the walls.  I had lots of ocean decorations from going to the beach and from buying the Little Mermaid toys.  I like my room a lot now that it is painted and designed.  I want to buy some more decorative stuff next time I go to the shell shop in Florida.  I had lots of help from my family and I had lots of fun and I love my room!

Hello everybody!  My name is Rebecca and this is my entry to the blog.  I am 7 years old and I live in Natomas Park in Sacramento with my little brother and my mom and dad.  I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers.  My older 2 sisters and older brother already graduated high school and moved out.  I miss them very much. 

 

When I’m not in school I like to keep busy by performing in plays and working on my dancing.  I have been taking tap, hip-hop, ballet and jazz classes since I was 3 years old.  The past 2 years I danced at a Starbound competition and won trophies for my dance school.

I also enjoy taking piano and gymnastics.  I started piano when I was 5 and my daddy says I’m pretty good at it.   He says that I am a “triple threat” because I can act, sing and dance.  My first musical was Willy Wonka.  I played Violet Beauregarde, the girl who turns into a blueberry.  It was so much fun!  Recently I played a “showgirl” in Bugsy Malone and I was so happy to have my teacher (Mrs. Torres) come and see me.  Next month I’m starring as “Gertrude McFuzz” in Seussical the Musical.

My favorite subjects in school are reading and math.  Reading is so much fun!  Someday I hope to be a writer so others can enjoy my stories.   Thank you for reading my blog entry.  I hoped you liked it.  Bye!

Hi Everyone - it’s Keylen :)

I enjoyed learning about the different communities and community services. There are three types of communities.

1. Urban - Urban communities are very crowded

2. Suburban - Suburban communities are residential

3. Rural - Rural communities are spread out and not many people live there

I live in a suburban community. My community has lots of houses, schools, parks, fire stations and businesses. It also has many restaurants, grocery stores and banks. I like being involved in my community. I’ve played neighborhood basketball, football and baseball. I’ve met and made friends who live in my community too.

Community services are also important. We need policeman to keep the neighborhoods safe, we need fireman to put out fires. We need schools so that kids can learn. These are just a few ideas of important community services.

Some communities are less fortunate than others. My family and I have started a tradition. Every year around the holidays, we will go and feed the homeless in less fortunate communities. This past Winter break, my family and I went out and feed over 200 people. It made me grateful to have a home to live in and food to eat. My family and I performed a humbling community service. It felt great to help other people.

My name is Hudson, and I live across from a park with my family.  I have a younger sister, two moms, and six fish.

I really like second grade.  My favorite parts are science, recess and Go Noodle.  My favorite Go Noodle is “Freeze It,” because it is new and because you can dance and you do math and vocabulary while you are dancing, and then you have to stop and freeze when it says to stop.

Last weekend, I did my trifold poster on my hero, Rosa Parks.  She is my hero because she stood up for what she believed in, and believed you should respect everyone.  I had fun making my poster, especially coloring the roses on it.

I also went to Dave and Busters, which is where you can play games and earn tickets for prizes.  I filled up four cups with tickets and exchanged them for a doll with a comb that I love very much.  My favorite game at Dave and Busters is the one where you sit in a chair and it shows a video, and you feel like you are really there because the chair moves and shakes.

My favorite movie right now is Frozen.  I have seen it three times, because I saw it with Grandpa, and then with my mom, and then this weekend with my cousin, his girlfriend, and my aunt.  We had Starburst, M&Ms, licorice, popcorn and soda.  I was very full and very happy.

I also rode my bike to the ice cream store and then we played on the playground.  Then, we went to a SECOND ice cream store because Mom didn’t get ice cream at the first store.  I love ice cream!

I had a great weekend, and I am looking forward to the rest of second grade.

Hello people around the world! I am Madison and I have a couple of hobbies that I really enjoy. I love to color and read. Some of my favorite foods are popcorn and fruit. I love to make cookies in my Easy Bake Oven.

I really like animals. I have 4 fish and one aqua frog. I did only have one fish but I bought three more which equal four. I love kittens and puppies and hope to have one some day. I have 20 pet worms that I keep in my bug catcher outside.

I have one sister and two brothers. We have lots of fun together and I love them a lot. I have been on an airplane lots of times and I think it is really fun. I have traveled to many places with my family. I love my two moms and my dad.

I really like school and all my friends. My favorite subject is Science. When I grow up I want to be a veterinarian because I love taking care of animals.

What’s up guys! It’s me Showmen. Do you know me? If you don’t then you are in the right place to learn all about me! I live in a apartment with my mom, dad, grandma, brother. I am 8 years old and I’m a  2nd grader in Mrs. Torres’ class. I like to eat pizza at Pizza Guys and burgers from In-N-Out.  Those are my favorite things to eat and sometimes I like when my mom makes homemade pizza... it is goooood. On January 20, 2014 I did my first book report presentation. I was nervous and I wrote about it in my composition journal. My teacher told me I was great and then I felt good when I did my first presentation.

One of my hobbies is playing soccer and my favorite DC superhero and favorite game is Batman. He is a good guy and helps people be safe but the only sad thing is that when Batman’s parents die. His real identity is Bruce Wayne and the actor of him is Bob Kane.

When I had my 2nd grade market day, I sold the Minecraft pictures. First I did buy 1 get one free and then buy one get 2 free and then I went up to buy one get 3 free! It was very funny. My group members where Nathan and Dominic. They were good. I especially respect Dominic because he was sick and wasn’t here for school but he made a lot of Stevie heads for our market day. I sold creeper heads, Nathan sold diamond swords, and Dominic sold Stevie heads.

I have a brother named Sowrov and he did a recital at Natomas Music Square and I was so excited that he was going to do a recital. He did the song named, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. I loved the song very much.

This is me with my two friends being at the plane museum that is outside and I learned a lot and my brother and my other friend that is bigger than me went their because they had to do something about it but it was fun.
